Being crazy is simultaneously not glamorous, exciting, interesting, nor sexy. At least not in the way that Winona Ryder and Angelina Jolie make it seem. Being crazy is boring, tedious and expensive. Moreover it is a complete waste of time.
The kind of crazy that I am talking about is not the psychotic nut-bag, pissing himself while mumbling to a fern on the subway, that most people think of when you say crazy. The kind of crazy I am talking about is the kind most of you can relate to, or for that matter, are.
People go crazy every day. It is always a little different, but the theme is always the same. Something happens and your life changes. Things happen to change your life everyday. You go get a latte and meet some person that influences your life. Your car breaks down and you spend the day at the mechanic. You get a job, or you loose one, and that is all it takes. One moment everything is perfect, and the next thing you know, your wig, while not necessarily flipped is slightly askew. What is worse is that no one can see that your wig has moved, only you know about it. Actually you can’t even see the change but you can feel it. It is as if your head doesn’t fit where it used to fit. Suddenly you become acutely aware that something is different, and you notice how easy it would be to just go pick out a fern.
